Jesca Hoop is great in her acoustic incarnation - the songs feel so much more intense, much sharper and clearer. One day, in Portugal, I was going for a drink in the city I used to live in, at the same old bar (a place where there are some concerts and art exhibitions). And there was someone with a guitar playing that night, with an incredible voice, a charming sense of humour and only an EP released. A total stranger that I would love even more than Ani DiFranco. Jesca Hoop.
